Adult Dog Classes are suitable for dogs aged 6 months or older. The Club offers a 6 week Responsible Dog Ownership (RDO) Course. Recorded attendance for each week of the course earns the owner and dog a Certificate of Attendance and progression to either our Foundation Class, where both can build upon the exercises covered in the RDO Course, or to Class 1 of the Club's Advanced Training Classes. The Club runs further Advanced Training (Classes 2 to 4), for which promotion tests must be passed for progression.

Responsible Dog Ownership Course

The Responsible Dog Ownership (RDO) Course includes the latest training material and techniques from organisations such as Dogs NSW, and incorporates rules, regulations and responsibilities of dog ownership outlined in information supplied by State Government, local councils, RSPCA and Centennial Parklands.

ESDTC Responsible Dog Ownership Attendance Certificate

Recorded attendance for each week of the course earns the owner and dog a Certificate of Attendance and progression to either our Foundation Class, where both can build upon the exercises covered in the RDO Course, or Class 1 of the Club's Advanced Training Classes.

Please note: Dogs must be fully vaccinated before enrolling in classes. A current vaccination certificate must be provided when joining the Club.

Advanced Training Classes

The Club also runs classes for dogs that have completed our Responsible Dog Ownership Course. Progression to Class 1 is earned by recorded attendance for each week of the 6 week Responsible Dog Ownership Course. Progression to Classes 2, 3 and 4 is earned by passing promotion tests.

In addition to providing incrementally more challenging training, the advanced classes consolidate and perfect the training learned at lower levels, while continuing to offer opportunities for socialisation and stabilisation in increasingly more complex situations for the dog and handler.
