A Word in Your Ear

A few Sundays back, during the 2nd half of training, I was practising out of sight stays with Harry, my 6 ½ year old, black Labrador. I put him in the down position, on the brick paving, under the large tree, between Class 4 and Puppy Classes. I told Harry to stay and walked around behind the tree to wait 5 minutes before returning to him.

Summer Tick Alert

Tick paralysis is a condition where attachment of a tick results in paralysis. Once the tick is attached to the animal it feeds on blood and at the same time releases a toxin which enters the animal. The toxin interrupts nerve impulses causing progressive weakness and then paralysis.

Next Training Date

Sunday 24th June is a Puppy Class Joiner for dogs aged under 6 months. It is also a Promotion Testing morning for the advanced Classes 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and 3 to 4. 

NOTE: There is no training on 10th & 17th June (Queen's Birthday Holiday & Mid-Year Winter Break for Helpers & Instructors).

Reminder: Annual Membership Renewal is due on 30th June.

Please check the registration & class times AND arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the scheduled start times.
